padBattle of the Alamo Chess Set.  Handmade from Old English Solider Metal (a pewter-like alloy) and then beautifully hand painted, this fine chess set celebrates the famous battle in 1836 at the Alamo Fort in Texas.   An army of 4,000 Mexican troops led by General Santa Anna besieged and attacked the Alamo Fort, which was defended by 182 Texan volunteers.   The first of these sets to be produced, are displayed at the Alamo Museum in Texas.  Printed Parchment Story Sheets are supplied with each of these sets which give the history of the set and details of their characters.  Packaged in a fitted presentation box.  Crafted and imported from England.  Kings height 5½”.
